Quite a few surfers enjoying the surf in the failing light
I turned around to take one last shot of the sunset - then we stood chatting for a few minutes - turning around again - wow !
Where did that come from !
We walked back a little way so that I could take these photos - as you can see, Wooster wasn't bothered about the sunset he was just enjoying himself.
So, so pretty. Glad you had a really nice day today, especially after starting it tanking the wall. Quick question on that as we have a damp wall behind our woodburner - what do you use? Lynn
I bought some specialist paint - did lots of research on the internet - my problem was the preparation needed with the stove still in place - in the end I killed the mould etc. then just painted the first coat on and am hoping that after another coat it will do the job. Assuming that you are talking about the cottage here ! Will email you the details of the paint. Hoping it's as good as it says on the tin ! Sue
Yes, the cottage is the problem. New lime plaster and wash has not done at all well since 2009. Next spring when I am over for longer the company is coming back to redo the area, but I am interested in the paint you use in case the second do-over doesn't take. Lynn
Wonderful pictures....3 degrees here this morning brrr !! Love the new header. Good luck with the woodburner ! Very envious ! we have an open fire....perhaps we should make more effort !!!!! thanks Sue for a lovely 'Cornish fix'... macca.
Since the woodburner was fitted early Summer - it's never been lit, so we're hoping to do that as soon as the tanking and re-painting of the chimney breast has finished. We're lucky that our temperatures haven't got anywhere near that low - but we're still warm and damp - rain again this morning - but at least it will encourage me to finish my painting and put the garden lounge back together again. Sue
