SAR Sea King from RNAS Culdrose flying past this morning
An hour later and the bright strip was sadly getting smaller
As we were setting off on our walkies I noticed that the garden was looking rather orange.
These Southern Hemisphere Watsonias seem to like to stick to their natural October-March flowering schedule - they might stop flowering in a period of really bad weather, but then soon send up more flowers !
Seeing your Watsonia is giving me hope that mine will flower soon, they haven't failed me yet since we brought them back from Scilly. We are so lucky living in our mild climate, always flowers in the garden all year round. Thank you Sue.
ReplyDeleteThe Watsonias haven't had too much wind so far - they do tend to fall over if it gets too bad - they were in the garden when we arrived and seem to flourish - although I'm not that keen on the orange and pink (Schizostylis) together. Hope your's do flower soon. Sue
