Because of all the spray flying in the wind I had to stand rather a way back to get any photos of the waves crashing over onto the Promenade, so you'll have to excuse all the lamposts etc.
Couldn't believe that I kept seeing people walking on the seawards side of the road

Looking past Penlee Point towards a splash over St Clement's Isle
I then started to make my way back as I had shopping to do
The War Memorial was taking a battering at times as well
and just after I had crossed over the road, away from the harbour wall a huge splash came right over the high part and onto the road - lucky escape !
I then walked up the hill towards the shops past the wonderful Egyptian House, still looking very smart.
I was only part way through my shopping when we had a horrendous hail storm, but I couldn't shelter and wait for it to stop as my parking money was running out, so I got very wet and cold. When I got to Sainsbury's the hail was lying on the car park like snow.
