A fine and sunny start to the day and very little wind, which made a nice change.

  1. What a beautiful morning! Colours are so clear.
Just took a glance at the weather map in your side column - looks terrible! Tue 11 Feb2014, 05:00. Guess you will be getting up soonish.
Hope the day improves. Not too bad here today. Tomorrow Max 34C/93F

  2. Another terrible night Betty, torrential rain and wind gusting up to 62mph whicih I don't think we were expecting. At least our rain is draining away, whereas The Thames Valley & Worcester area has joined the Somerset Levels in being flooded - thousands of homes now inundated and no end to this stormy weather in sight. Another storm expected tomorrow. Such a sad start to 2014. England is now cut off from Cornwall by rail - buses having to be used between Plymouth and Exeter. Extra planes are now flying between Newquay and London as lots of people commute for the week.
Just have to hope that the jet-stream accross the atlantic moves back to where it should be and give us all a chance to dry out and recover.
Hard to remember our glorious hot Summer now - hope you're not too hot tomorrow ! Sue
