Thursday

Spotted these four Western Power vehicles and thought we were in for more power cuts today - but we haven't - so far !
We've been very lucky really, the storms haven't done any damage to the house and the garden isn't too bad, sadly the smaller palm tree that had tried so valiantly to stand up straight (supported by wood & rope) after last years storm when it blew over, has now gone the other way - no idea how it came to lie in that direction since the wind came off the sea. Lots of work needed on the wind protection fence, but that will have to wait until better weather.

  1. It's the cottage!! We're hoping you fare as well in the storm predicted for tomorrow.

    1. Probably won't be as bad as earlier in the week - the forecasts had said the opposite - but we shall see ! Had a good look round the village today - looking OK really considering - damage to two roofs - The Victoria is very old and understandable, but Cliff House shouls have been able to cope as a 2 years old.
