Afternoon walkies

Our visitors arrived nice and early having not encountered any traffic jams at all - this very late Easter and the alteration of the normal School Holidays has obviously affected peoples plans.
We set off to walk the dogs over the hill to Trenow - more cloud looking West, but it had really been a super day.
Marine Discoveries Shearwater II looking good with her spinnaker out passing this naval vessel which came into the bay for the night - couldn't find out what it was.
The grass is growing again out on Maen-dhu Point - wonder if the Thrift has survived
We then went home and had a lovely fish supper from the Rosudgeon fish and chip shop, followed by some meringues from  The Peppercorn Kitchen Cafe with clotted cream - naughty but delicious !
We're off to The Victoria tonight, so the photos might be late again - sorry !

    1. Happy Easter ! Super meal at The Victoria - they were really busy, but Stewart & Anna & staff were coping really well - having the right training must help - (http://www.raymondblanc.com/raymond-blanc/chefs-who-trained-with-raymond-blanc/). Several large family parties, but they're used to it ! Good menu, with something for all ! - Need to get back on my diet ! Sue

  2. Glad the grass is growing out there. Helps with the signal. I was showing my parents the blog with the benches. Gave them a giggle. Mmmmm proper meringues with clotted cream....I think I may have to start planning our holiday activities. I hope your guests are having a lovely stay

    1. It's certainly looking a little less storm damaged along the footpath now that the grass and Alexanders are growing - don't know about the signal though - Mia had to go out to the corner patio to get a signal - our builders spent many hours out there years ago !
We weren't sure what to do about pudding, so thought that meringues were a good solution - as usual Jim got carried away and we still have some left for tonight - and possibly tomorrow - they were huge ! Craig and Mia went to Sennen and drove the coast road to Carbis Bay yesterday - probably The Lizard today. Sue

    1. Happy Easter Lynn. It was another fine day, but with a bit more cloud and the wind had gone round to the East so it was a bit chilly - I'm afraid I'm running a day behind at the moment. Possible showers today - Ester Sunday, but we can only hope that they miss us ! Sue
