Having been brought up in the Midlands I tend to associate Bluebells with woodlands, so it almost seems incongruous to see them close to the sea
Quite a large area of them
As we walked along the footpath we were looking out for some signs of these - but suddenly in an open area of grass there they were - several Early Purple Orchids
and there were several more just appearing - think that the cattle must have moved the seeds around as we've not seen them here before

  1. THANK YOU SO MUCH SUE. PERFECTION PLANT. PERFECTLY TAKEN BY YOU.
Shame the weather has closed in again this afternoon, but at least we got the deck oiled as planned before it came. Great photo's once again. Hope you have both had a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend.

  2. Yes, we had a quiet time here - longer walkies yesterday, but the weather isn't too good today, so we've not been as far.
Thought of you as I took the photos ! It seems that the Orchids we find each year are in a different place, so they must seed and get moved about. Haven't been up to the usual glade as it's still too muddy at the bottom for the likes of me - we will get to it from above hopefully one day soon ! The cattle can not get into the fields that they used to, so wonder if that will affect the Orchids.
