PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Penzance

I managed to park by the Promenade and just as I was getting out of the car I spotted crabber Intuition out in front of me, looking very smart after her re-fit and re-paint
She turned and showed the other side  - proper job !
Just heading out for a few days more local fishing is Hake man Alan on the Ajax - he came back with 250 boxes of Hake on Monday from the waters 160 miles West of Lands End - and it's delicious !
 I walked up Morrab Road and had to take a photo of this house - Jim has never been allowed to forget the day he pruned my super Clematis Montana right down to a twig, when we lived in Leicester  - and unusual white Wisteria !

    What a wonderful gallery this morning ! sad to see the pool and the footpath,but wonderful views and flowers ( I also have someone who prunes 'enthusiastically, !!!!!! ) our Bluetits must have hatched....the parents are feeding like crazy ! our friend has a box with a camera and twelve baby Bluetits....no wonder they only have one brood ! thanks Sue.macca.

      Been hearing the little tweets of baby Bluetits for the last few days - I have suitable young bird food in the feeder and they are really going for it ! I did have a box with camera, but struggled to find a suitable place to put it where I could get the cable through a window and to a TV. Mr Crow is very busy, feeding the Mrs and sending the gulls packing. Sue

    It is sad to see the Jubilee Pool in such a state, but they are working on it at least. As to the Newlyn walkway, maybe someone should get up a petition as they did for the Jubilee Pool so the Council can feel a bit of pressure to be helpful.
    I love the picture of the clematis and wisteria as it puts my scraggly little vines to shame. Seems like we all have avid pruners. Our story was a Meyer lemon tree which was abundant until the pruners came near it, and then only a lemon or two each year. Grr! Such a shame as Meyers are sweet and can be eaten like an orange.

      The people of Newlyn had a meeting the other day to try to put some pressure onto the council - problem is there is so much that needs sorting out and no money to do it without the government handing some over as they promised during the worst days of the Winter.
      Sad tale about your Meyer Lemon tree sound wonderful - bit like a Wisteria, when you lose the flowering branches they just give up !
      I have tried to grow a Clematis Montana here and unfortunately the snails ate it - as they have some others I bought from Lidl (cheap !) recently Jim has declared war on the snails and is doing an inspection several times a day - they climb over a 9ft high wall and lurk and decend onto the plants at night grrr !
