The lovely little castle of St Mawes
Looking up the Carrick Roads to Trelissick
Think this Gaff Cutter was at Mousehole on Sunday - she has circumnavigated 3 times via the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, Panama Canal, New Zealand & S. Africa
The sun shining on a ripe corn field over on The Roseland
Gyllingvase Beach - popular with sunbathers in the Summer and the dogs in the Winter !
and Swanpool Beach just round the headland
We stood and watched as the Lizard Lifeboat Rose, slowly towed in this boat
As they got closer and I zoomed in with the camera I could see that it looked like the lovely old boat I taken a shot of first thing this morning as it passed Perranuthnoe
Looking closely you can see the sad sight of the broken mast near the end of the bowsprit - just shows that you never know when you might need the services of our wonderful lifeboats and crews.
Thank you Sue. We were a stones throw away from you yesterday, we visited Mylor while Terry's car was being serviced at Tresillian. Quite a warm day shame there wasn't a lot of sunshine.
ReplyDeleteSo near yet so far ! We often used to go to Mylor after a Trago shop, but no time yesterday and the dogs really love the walkies around the moat. Strange to have it so very warm, yet not much sun. Very windy out on Pendennis Point. Sue

ReplyDeleteIt's exactly a year since we went to Streatley next to the Thames and almost roasted alive, so don't envy you your weather - at least we have a breeze here ! We've treated ourselves to one of the new Dyson bladeless fans - heaven !
DeleteEnjoy your Runner Beans - had a go at growing them years ago now we're retired we're not in the right place for veggies ! Sue
Thank you for the trip to Falmouth. I can't believe it is only a week since we drove away. With the stop in Brooklyn, it seems even longer.
ReplyDeletePleased you enjoyed it - usually go more often - been such a busy year so far !
DeleteLove Falmouth town and the walks -need to go back to return one of our purchases. Sue
