The big display - of fish of course
Superb Lobsters
A couple of Red Gurnards and friends
No need to tell you this one !
Quite an assortment with Spider Crabs down at the bottom
Ah, Lovely! I always eat so much crab as it is not easy to get here, as well as not very sweet tasting. Spider crabs are especially good, I remember. Our neighbours used to get them from off the rocks below Mawnan Church at the mouth of the Helford and give them to my mother. Horrible to crack, but worth the trouble. I envy Jim the lobster too. I hope no-one was hurt in the Co-op blast as it seems to have blown out the windows. Why does it always rain on Bank Holidays?
Really was very wet in the morning, got much better in the afternoon. Lobsters all looked such a wonderful colour. Often see chefs on TV trying to persuade the british public to try Spider Crabs - but they seem to want to Brown Crabs. Co-op blast was overnight - no one hurt. Was thinking of you this afternoon as I was looking at our route to get to Rosemullion Head on Sunday to watch the Parade of Tall Ships around Falmouth Bay. We parked ther last time & hope to manage to do it again. Weather forecast quite good at the moment.
Thanks for that Lynn - wondered if there was going to be any refreshments - still doesn't say what time the Car Parking will open and I can't remember what time we went in 2008 - too long ago !

Such a great place to see the bay. If you look at the Mawnan Smith website, it gives a lot of info about parking to view the Tall Ships.
