Sunday - The Penrose Estate & Porthleven

Bertha came and went without too much bother, leaving behind quite a strong wind - gusting around 50mph. Jim took the dogs for a quick walk up to Trebarvah and then we left for The Penrose Estate and Porthleven
Everything looking lovely and green and lush
Wide angle view of Penrose House and gardens and The Stables to the left
We took one of the new Woodland walks and got some nice views through the trees
I'm sure that there's an Old Wives Tale about a Mountain Ash this full of berries - harsh winter I suspect
and the Sweet Chestnut Trees were loaded as well
Wooster and Tilly really loved this new walk
Nice view of Loe Pool
Lots of new gates and fences needed to set up a new path
Beech Tree leaves already on the ground - too much hot sun I suppose

  1. Rowan berries.....that's how the story goes ! the amount of berries everywhere it could be Arctic conditions on the way ! considering how much fruit and berries there is about our birds are emptying the feeders we don't like not to fill in case they desert us. Porthleven looks a bit different to those winter scenes.thanks Sue.macca

    1. Here's hoping there are so many berries because the Spring & Summer were so good !
I stopped filling my feeder when the crows learned how to shake everything out onto the ground !
I do love Porthleven and it was good to see it so busy in the sunshine. Sue
