Lighting the Christmas Tree

Well ! tonight was the night and we all trouped down to the bottom of St Piran's Way for the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Here the tree is being blessed. We were really lucky to have a fine evening although it was rather cold
 Carol singing

Then the man of the moment arrived - with his sleigh moving too fast for the camera - well he has to doesn't he or how would he get round to all the children ?
 Just a glimpse
 Father Christmas with his helper
Whilst the children were waiting to see the man of the moment, we were offered Sausage Rolls and Mince Pies
We then all went over to The Victoria and a warming drink coupled with sausages and potatoes and thereby you find the reason why this post is rather short.
Anyone who has been reading this blog for a few years might remember that I'm not a drinker due to the fact I just can't take it, but tonight I've had a Cinzano with two tonics and I'm falling asleep ! Sorry !  A few photos of the big waves that we had after last nights storm will have to wait until tomorrow !
