The path heads on upwards until we eventually get a view of Loe Pool down below
and a super view looking across to Helston
We eventually get our first sighting of the sea and the coastline of The Lizard Peninsular. We got so warm walking in the sunshine that we started to fill the rucsac with our hats and jumpers etc and walked with our jackets unzipped.
The path takes us above the fields walking towards Porthleven
SAR helicopter from RNAS Culdrose
The amazing engine houses and chimneys of The Trewavas Mine that we walk past when we go to Rinsey HeadHuge amount of new fencing has been put in - which means we don't have to go through any fields with animals in
The footpath then carries on to Porthleven - or you take the left turn as we did to make our way towards Loe Bar
After all the walking uphill, now we walk back down to sea level again
We then join the Coastal Footpath
Looking back towards Porthleven and Tye Rock House on the cliff - so often the "star" of storm photos with waves crashing up higher than the roofNot many people out on The Bar this morning - this was of course the scene of the tragic death of a young man who went into the water last New Years Eve in the dark and in a storm and lost his life - It is a No Bathing place at all times as it is so dangerous
One of the old wartime Pill Box watch towers that is teetering on the edge now
