Beautiful Ketch Irene and Shearwater II heading out of the bay as we arrived
Merlin providing a bed for a gull
We
then decided we ought to take the dogs for a walk as the Lifeboat
display with the helicopter was now going to be at 1.30 which changed
our plans.
I suppose that we're usually just trying to avoid the cars as we walk past The Ship Inn, but don't recall ever seeing this
Amazing piece of history
Jim & the dogs waiting whilst I went onto the Quay to look at the stalls and displays (dogs not allowed)
Starting to make a Crab Pot
The Monbretia was looking beautiful alongside the path
Looking along the footpath that heads out to Lamorna and beyond
Mermaid II came past as we walked back in to Mousehole
Tilly taking in the view as we head back towards Mousehole
These inflatables seemed very popular
This was really popular
Almost low tide as we walked back through
and out past the Rock Pool
To the Rock Pool Cafe for lunch - as they had announced that the Lifeboat and Helicopter display would now be much earlier, we though it would be a good place to combine the two !Could see just one seal basking on the rocks - had a feeling it wouldn't be there long when the display started
Jim's Crab sandwiches
My Smoked Salmon & mayonaise toasted bagels
Jim spotted these and ordered them for our sweet - really yummy, but very naughty !
and Wooster and Tilly were impressed with their treats
The crowd on the quay were waiting for the display
They arrived and waited for the helicopter
