Saturday

Grey and cold, but I was sheltered from the NE wind for much of the walk

Sea quite calm compared to yesterday

Looks like the foundation for the extension to the Cabin Beach cafe is now complete
I took the dogs down to the beach to take a look at this latest fall - on the Western side of the beach alongside the footpath - the waves were being driven in on that side yesterday
The Oystercatcher gang were down on the beach
until we got quite close !
Looks like the heavy rain is pouring off the field and down the cliff here

 Nice beach this morning
Around lunchtime the cloud moved away and the sun appeared
St Piran & St Michael's Church Wall Restoration Appeal - Gift Day
We tried to arrive in time to see the demonstration of the way the remedial work will be carried out - here he was showing us the tools of his trade
You can see from the stones top left of the photo the incorrect mortar that was used some time in the past - which does not allow the walls to "breathe" and caused the damp
We made our donation and coloured in a stone - thought it was appropriate to dedicate this stone to Lyn Tsan a facebook friend, who had been enjoying seeing the photos of Perranuthnoe, where she was brought up and who passed away this week
Inside the church the old mortar has already been removed - and is drying out
We came back outside and listened to the talk on how these old stone buildings were put together
This is the section that has been completed on the outside - a beautiful job !
Buzzard trying to get away from gulls
 Sadly the clouds came back
So it was another grey walkies
With a Kestrel hawking over the fields
 and sitting on the hedge
Wooster reported cold limp ears this afternoon
Looking down at the cliff fall from the footpath
