Beautiful blue Mount's Bay
It had got really hot by now and Tilly was really feeling it, so I walked them down onto Trenow Cove, hoping they would have a paddle and a drink from the stream - they did neither Grrr !
Lovely visitor puppy Rosie, being a Labrador loved the water
A group of walkers brought their dogs down for a cooling dip as well
Tried a panorama, but it bent the cloud
Maen-dhu Point
Amazing to see how much sand has gone during the storm - will soon be back and it doesn't seem to be bothering anyone down thereTide on the way out so there will be plenty of beach for most of the day
When I got home I noticed this unusual shape over Cudden Point
It was the P&O Cruise Ship Oriana who came for a cruise across the bay before going round Lands End making for Ringaskiddy (Cork Harbour)
Then suddenly we heard the unmistakable roar of
USAF F15 Eagles (well I assume)
Took us by surprise and I struggled to find my camera
But they came round for another circuit
I kept my finger on the shutter just moving with the plane - best shot I got was right through the middle of the Cedar Tree
It's hard to describe just how noisy they are - they actually hurt your ears !
Thank goodness they didn't come back at low level again
Glorious afternoon
Car Park was full and I gather the village and lane were full as well !
Not often we see that many in the sea
Ah ! that's better - HM Coastguard SAR helicopterRather late walkies as it had cooled down a little and there was some high cloud now covering the sun
We walked over to Trevean then down the lane towards the sea - passing the Leeks
Beetroot
and some carrots - should keep the Farm Shop going for a while
Looking East to Cudden Point
Nice sky
Amazing to see how many different hills there are behind The Mount - most of the time it just looks like one big oneLooking down at the beach as we walked up the path towards Trebarvah
Sadly no sunset as the band of dark clouds had hidden it
