Saturday

Rain in the forecast but at least the wind had died down quite a bit - the delayed Penzance Sailing Club's Penzance to Scilly and Back race started this morning -(delayed by the weather from yesterday evening) This is the only the Catamaran Suenos preparing for the start
Off they go - pity about the rain, expected to more or less last all day
I went up to Oamaru and it was already spotting with rain, so no mowing today - and just look at how the greenery is growing already
Low dark clouds hanging over the moors
Just a brief dry spot so Jim took the dogs for yet another quick walkies

Wooster hiding in the jungle
Came home at lunchtime and saw this flock of birds - unusual at this time of year - wondered if they were Lapwings
A gap in the rain clouds for a short while
Spotted the lovely Irene returning from Scilly
Forecast is a little better for tomorrow
