Bank Holiday Sunday

We decided to go to Penrose and walk from the top car park out towards the coast and back in alongside Loe Pool
First sight of the sea
Looking back to Helston

Looking West across to Porthleven & Western Mount's Bay
Porth en Alls House and some of the others properties in Prussia Cove as well as the top of The Castle on The Mount
The chimneys and engine houses of the Trewavas Mine still clinging on to the cliffs
Met this super little 6 month old Sprocker puppy
The trouble with the younger generation is they don't respect their elders
Wooster and Tilly think that this is where cattle should be when you're on a footpath

Looking towards Loe Bar
We decided to take the dogs down to cool off in Loe Pool
Wooster already having a paddle
Although she was hot Tilly wasn't keen
She did have a paddle and we poured some water over her to cool her down
Never seen these before Yellow Horned Poppy or Sea Poppy
Sea Holly
The slope down to Loe Bar is not looking good

Some nice shade

Nice and cool all the way to the Stables cafe
Autumn starting already
Met this 11 year old Pointer, but she unusually wasn't keen on other dogs
Walking back to the car
We walked past the Turkey Oak that always has Butterflies enjoying the sweet sap that comes out through the bark
They were all Red Admirals and constantly flitting around
Resting on another tree
When we got home Jim was sitting on the sofa and spotted this Kestrel land in the middle of the Cedar Tree
Sunset

Phew !
