Opened the curtains to a rather grey morning with the giant sail of the faster boats taking part in the Rolex Fastnet Race
Love watching for them
Walkies up the hill under grey skies
Assume it's a lovely Common Blue butterfly
The one I wanted to see Hugo Boss that came 2nd in the Vendee Globe this year - accompanied by lots more Gannets
Jim got a slightly better shot before it went off out of sight - there are still a huge number of boats that have not passed Lizard Point yet
Only one came past today
The beautiful Johanna Lucretia
This afternoon and we needed to pop up to Trebarvah
Think that both Wooster and I need to go on a diet
The rain clouds that were expecting, but that passed to the North
The Hibiscus are having a really good year
Don't think we've ever had quite so many flowers
Wooster came to join me
The new plants are doing well
After all the grey - no rain and then the sun
Very light drizzle and a thin rainbow
Almost a sunset
Certainly a blue theme going on today ! flowers and a butterfly.l love blue flowers except roses ! Those yachts look so small,we would have liked to have had a go at sailing...to old now.Considering the county we live in and all the sailing that takes place here I don't know why we didn't.Beautiful sunset.Thank you Sue.macca.
ReplyDeleteIn reality those boats are huge - or rather the sails are massive - really loved seeing them - the big ones will be coming past during the night but saw the one that has come 2nd this evening. Garden has been enjoying the sunshine and rain - everything growing too fast including the lawn. Sue
