Showers around this morning
Scillonian III setting off on her last passenger trip of the season - I gather she'll be out next week doing some cargo trips
We decided to go for a walk at Penrose as most of it would be sheltered from the strong North wind
Couple of Grey Herons around
Photobombed by Wooster again
A number of these Goosanders
Beech leaves not all off the trees yet
A contented looking Cormorant
or two
Fields all gathered in
Greebs
Loe Bar
Usual waves onto the bar - we turned around there as it was really windy
Lots of berries on the Holly - this is supposed to mean a hard Winter, but I just think it's been a good season for Holly
She didn't need it - too fast for the camera under the trees
Saw these Cormorants fly up the pool
Backs to the wind
Everything looking lovely and green
Herons still around as we walked back
Later Jim took the dogs for a quick walk up the hill
Hottentot Fig on our wall
I went to Penzance to await Scillonian's return
Innisfallen heading in to Penzance
After next week it's all up to Gry Maritha to keep the Islands stocked
The new queue shelter - might need more containers for the Summer queues
These Gig rowers are really tough !
It was really cold out there
Here she comes
50 Passengers to disembark
I then drove home via Marazion Marsh to see the Starlings arrive
Thank you Sue,what a weekend album a bit of everything!Loved the Scillonian's arrival,a shelter? for how many?always a bit of a melee...but part of the Scilly adventure.Frosty here brrh.macca.
ReplyDeleteThe shelter was the idea of the new boss - problem is that the Quay is listed so it's difficult to do anything that could stand up to the waves coming over the wall. No frost here, but it was cold last night - very still this morning but no sun at the moment. Sue
