Thursday

Not a good start to the day when I woke up with a cold nose and realised that the boiler wasn't working.  Not a good time of year to need an Oil Fired Boiler technician - they all seemed to have taken the whole week off -Christmas to after New Year.  Eventually found one who came later in the day
Jim went off with the dogs
Fast ladies came running past

Nice sky this morning, but it was rather cold

Back home to a chilly house

Still cutting those Cauliflowers
I went up to Oamaru to put in the gift pack

and put the palm tree into it's planter as the pot had blown out during the week
Gry Maritha on her way back to Penzance
Rain rolling down the hills behind Penzance
By the end of the day the boiler was mended and the house was warming up

    1. Oh dear it does sound cold over there, we've been colder than usual, but lowest I've seen on the outside thermometer was 3.5c Looking at our 7 day forecast there's not a day that hasn't got gales at some point. Boiler still working well, although it's amazing to see how much more Oil we're using this cold Winter as opposed to last year. Happy New Year. Jim, Sue Wooster and Tilly

    1. Happy New Year to you both as well, Rather windy and wet up at Oamaru at the moment - rather a nasty forecast for the next 7 days.
