Sunday

We were so lucky this morning whilst all the areas under the pink were getting snow (that included the Isles of Scilly) we had a lovely warm and sunny morning - but we knew it couldn't last
Assume this is the snow bearing cloud out to the West
Ice on the water again
The Crows have decided to come back to last years nest with extra twigs added
Monty from The Victoria Inn needing a "Get me out of jail" card

Meeting of friends  Murphy, Cassie, Bonnie, Wooster & Tilly
Very calm morning

Training gig out in the bay

Super Common Buzzard
Very low tide and I suspect that these two were tring to get right out onto The Greeb rocks - but failed as there is a deep channel a bit further along
Really was a very low tide
People walking over to The Mount
The Castle was open for the first day of the 2018 season
Met this super Lurcher
With these two lively Cockers
Still looking good as we headed back up Boat Cove Lane and made our way home
After lunch the expected snow arrived
Took a long time to settle as the ground was so wet
It stuck onto the glass screens

Looking rather nice again

The big Pine trees are flowering in the snow
Hopefully these assorted palms close to the house will be OK

Not sure that the lovely Norfolk Island Pine will survive
Scillonian III sets sail for Scilly for the first time tomorrow - not sure I'll be there to watch as I usually do

  1. What a contrast from morning to afternoon. I imagine you are a bit tired of icy weather. Even though the sun was shining, no doubt the air was very cold.
The effect of the snow on trees and shrubs is lovely.
Hope it warms up during the week.
