Another mizzly damp morning - too wet to try to walk up the hill through all the shoulder height wet grass
An early morning Hello to Buddy
Cloud was really hanging low
Lovely white Tamarisk
Always a good spot to check for bunnies
Afternoon and the massive mound of mist had rolled out to sea
Not far away
Jim decided, enough was enough and took the battery cutter and dealt with the long grass that was hiding the footpath - he'll probably get into trouble over the fact he wasn't wearing a Hi-Viz vest, but he had his guard dog with him !
Down in the garden - the dark California Poppies
and next to them the much paler ones
Love this Honeysuckle
Lots more of these flowers
A quick sweep over the archway
Hebe's are looking good
A very relaxed bunny on the field
Self seeded poppies all over the place
I went for a short walk up the drive to the top
Nice views from there
and down to the bottom of the slope to get a photo of these beauties
Jim took Wooster for a short walk back up the hill
Wooster admiring their handywork
What a lot of lovely colour today, were any of the poppies from the seed I sent you several years ago? ours are lovely too.So desperately dry sprinklers in the fields everywhere.Cornish potatoes last week....our own this week...very tasty!Well done to Jim the pathfinder!Thank you Sue take care. macca.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the California Poppies are descended from your seeds - they just appear each year. Not much in the fields around here at the moment. More cutting needs to be done - Council seem to have given up. Sue
