Not a great start to the day when I woke up to find I'd managed to get my foot caught up in the duvet and then turned over and twisted my knee - Ouch ! Undeterred and since we were all prepared for Lifeboat Day in Porthleven I got out of bed, and opened the curtains - to no view at all as it was thick wet misty, foggy - and just horrid. Took this photo after it cleared a bit early afternoon
Such a pity, but we're not keen on walking around in those conditions and it wouldn't have done the cameras any good.
I will take a donation into the RNLI Shop in Penzance
Screen grabs from the Aspects Holidays webcam
The Penlee Inshore Lifeboat the Mollie and Ivor Dent arriving in Porthleven Harbour along with the Y boat from the Ivan Ellen
Causing quite a stir, before going into the inner harbour for a while - sadly no demonstration with the Coastguard helicopter
Parade of some of the Porthleven Fishing Boats
We were amazed to see that in the later part of the afternoon it started to clear and then the sun appeared, so we took Wooster out for a walk
People walking in both directions on the causeway
Mermaid II
The sky was amazing with the white high clouds, and still the bank of low mist hanging over the hills
Loved these dramatic skies
Mackerel sky
Spotted Leader crossing the bay
Really quite pleasant out on the point
A few on the beach and there were more heading down, now that the sun had appeared
Wonder if it will be misty again tomorrow
