Having a sleepless night so catching up on some blog reading as we ad family staying for over two weeks. With a 20 month old roaming the house and garden, there was plenty of activity and no time to relax.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your photo of Celebrity Silhouette, it reminded me of the only cruise we have been on which was on that very boat to Alaska. Such stunning scenery, and as it was the last of the season, it was a quiet cruise.
I was envious to see you had been to Kota for dinner. We have had two meals there and enjoyed both very much. That was a long walk you did on your Porthleven/Penrose day out so I am assuming your knee has improved a great deal. I ave actually aggravated mine by getting up and down off the floor when playing with the toddler grandson, so I am dreading my flight over on the 18th. I can barely walk when I first stand up on the plane until my legs loosen up!
Scaffolding goes up on the 20th for the cob repair and new exterior painting, so it will not be entirely relaxing this trip, but at least the cottage will change from a patchy pink to a pristine white.
Maybe I will make it over to Perranuthnoe for a visit away from the workmen. It's a shame there are no more giant meringues though!
I was only thinking of you the other day, as I'd forgotten exactly when you were due to come over to supervise the work. Knee is not too bad - just having to get used to a low level pain at all times - in both knees at the moment as the first one to be done isn't very happy at taking a bit more of the strain on stairs etc. Really struggle to get down on the ground as I don't have a knee to get down onto - fortunately my back is OK so I can bend to clean floor if necessary. Sadly lots of my favourite sandals and shoes are not proving comfortable so yet more shopping he he ! Hope the flight over goes well - as well as the work on the cottage. Sue
