Another strange start to the day with blue sky and fast moving cloud
We couldn't hang about as we both had dental appointments up the A30 near St Agnes.
Our dentist has moved from a practice in Truro out to the country - superb purpose built place
They have three fields, so After Jim had had his checkup I went in for a filling whilst he walked Wooster
Very windy, but pleasant in the sunshine
St Agnes Beacon, with the sea behind it
The Monument on the top of Carn Brea near Camborne
Poor Wooster wasn't sure about this superb Stag
Filling done, we carried on to Chapel Porth - where it was extremely windy
Beach had been Red Flagged - understandably
We walked up the valley as we have done many times before
Some of the Gorse still flowering
Sadly the Heather is almost over
We kept quiet and let Wooster go ahead - and he went into this little path to the stream - just as Charlie and Daisy Pointer had done many times in the past
Still some patches of Heather further up the valley
Think that this is Common Dodder - a parasitic plants that absorbs food from the host plant
So much history around this area
We got back to the car park and had some food from the cafe, the sky had got much darker and whilst we were eating it started to rain
I was amazed that this little red flag was still standing - it promptly got blown over, so they had to haul the flag up the pole
We drove back along the coast road - past Porthtowan
and onwards to Portreath
We bought ice creams - not the best we've had
Wooster agreed and refused his usual treat of the ends of our cones
Home again and a quick walk - but the drizzle arrived again
Sadly no photographs of the farewell parade of the two Sea Kings as we were in the wrong place at the wrong time - would have been fine if they'd done it on Tuesday as planned !
