Wet and windy start to the day, so Wooster requested his waxed jacket
The Penlee Lifeboat was at anchor off The Mount
Puddle has filled up again
Two vessels at anchor in the bay
I had gone down to Marazion Junction to try to get some photos/videos of the Flying Scotsman on its first ever visit to Cornwall and making its way to Penzance. There was the Penlee Lifeboat at anchor
It was a bit chaotic as there was a Charity run to Prussia Cove and back, but they passed through before the big crowds arrived
Off they went back to Newlyn
After a long wet, windy and cold wait there it was - moving very slowly as it had been held at the signal
Releasing some steam whilst they waited for a London bound train to pass on the other line
Sadly the bushes were a bit too high - so I went to video - see below
The lucky people travelling down from Plymouth & back in these super old carriages - there was lots of waving as they passed
As I walked over the road and back to my car I noticed the crowds further along the line - judging by the hundreds of photos there must have been people at every bridge and vantage point all the way from Plymouth
Sat in the car warming up with a coffee - huge traffic jam to get out of the car park - with most people wanting to get to Penzance to look at the engine whilst it was in the station - I decided to go home !
Cruise ship Norwegian Breakaway making for Cobh - not a day I'd have wanted to cross the Irish Sea
Two Irish Trawlers - one of which had engine troubles and needed assistance from tug Danmark and the Penlee Lifeboat Ivan Ellen to get into Newlyn
Some nice sunny periods during the afternoon
Afternoon walkies up towards Ednovean
Some nice blue sky but also some heavy dark ones around
Super colour on the Ivy on Churchtown House
Sunshine at the top of the hill, but by the time we were at the bottom it was raining a little
St Clement's Isle
