Wednesday

At least we had a view this morning

Poor little Maisie looked out of the patio doors and was really scared of this guy paragliding over the beach - she ran straight under the desk and stayed there for a long time

Afternoon walkies with some nice sunshine

Several Little Egrets on Boat Cove again
Cloud from the SW covering the sun

Popped down to Penzance to hopefully see Mali Rose leave for Scilly - with Saltash gig Essa on board
Scillonian III out of dry dock and alongside the road
All three Steamship Company ships together
A Falmouth gig on the other side - only one strap, hope it's OK as they're having a hell of a trip in the gale that has unexpectedly arrived
High tide so the Turnstones are up on the harbour wall
After a very long wait the tug Danmark starts to pull Mali Rose out from the quay  - sadly as you can see it was now dark - and raining
Really fills the inner harbour
Heading out through the gate

Off she goes - the wind has really got so much worse now and her speed is down to 3-4 knots
Regular gusts of over 70mph - at least force 10-11 a real test for Mali Rose and her crew
Just had a gust of 85mph
