Thursday

Beautiful start to the day with just a few breaths of wind over the water
The dark clouds hanging over the tops of the moors again
The sun shining on a window across the bay - amazing to see that the reflection stretches right across the bay
Jim then took me to Penzance Station where I discovered that there was a major problem due to a train having hit a car between Exeter and Tiverton causing a fatality. Fortunately for me my train was the sleeper train  waiting to return to Paddington so off I went - the poor GWR staff having to explain to the travellers who were wanting to go further up country that they would have to get off and that hopefully there would be coaches to get them around the problem area.  Anyway I saw the Specialist and after tests, drops t0 enlarge my pupils etc I have been booked in for May 14th  as his April dates are all booked up.  With all the rail chaos, Jim decided to bring the dogs and come to fetch me and since the day was so glorious we decided to head for the North Coast for a change
Any guesses ?
Yes, we decided that Perranporth would be a good experience for Maisie and Wooster has always loved it - we have always only gone out of season ! We made straight for The Watering Hole as I was hungry
I asked for the usual Cappuccino  and a piece of cake - super selection - but Jim decided he was hungry so change of plan !
We shared this superb fish and chips sitting in the sun out of the breeze
We then set off walking along the massive beach
Wooster was having a great time and Maisie wanted to join in so Jim had a little run with her

Nice waves but not very big

The new apartments built where the hotel was where Nick stayed on a school trip - can't remember the name
We then sat at the back of the beach and had our first ice cream of the year - and I'm thrilled to report that Maisie loved her first taste of Cornish ice cream - we always give the dogs the end of the cornet with some ice cream pushed inside. Maisie has also decided to jump into the car - I think she's enjoyed her trips out and about
Home again with shading on the water
Sunset behind a tree
