Wonderful blue sky morning - if a little cold
A very calm Mount's Bay
Coastguard helicopter passing by
Nice one
Hardly a breath of wind
Very kind of this Green Veined White to land on a white Valerian
Not many Butterflies around at the moment
Afternoon walkies after a busy day getting some jobs done

I lived vicariously through both your photos of Enys as I like to go there, but I think I will just miss the bluebells this year. I hope you had some cake while you were there? Make mine coffee and walnut please.
ReplyDeleteI did finally book our flights so will be there later in May after stopping in to see the little ones in Brooklyn, but we are staying for a month, so I cannot complain this time. I expect we will spend lots of time putting the garden to rights as our gardener seems to mysteriously not be showing up.
As to butterflies, we have had a cold spell and not so many around here either, but one lunchtime we were eating outside and hundreds of Painted Ladies came flying diagonally across our garden heading from south to north. It seems the desert flowers were so prolific this year because of our above average rainfall, that the butterflies had stayed longer down south eating, and then in a big hurry they decided to migrate, hence the parade. They came singly, in small groups, but all drawn in the same direction and not distracted by any flowers, just dancing on through. Quite a sight!
Love the thought of so many butterflies - we haven't seen many of anything yet - suppose it's early, but the glorious Easter did bring some out and about. Weather here at the moment is really cold such a pity to get the sandals and cropped trousers out only to have to go back to Winter ones again. Do hope the weather is good when you come for your month - and hope that the gardener shows up again - they are a precious commodity - ours is super and willing to help with anything we need him to do but only does 4 hours every other week.
