Friday

Another beautiful morning with just a thin layer of high cloud

Falmouth boat Boy Brendan alongside Galatea - assume to do with repairs after the incident with the fishing boat. Galatea has now left Mount's Bay
Amazingly calm morning
Buddleas are covered in butterflies - Small Tortoiseshell
Painted Lady
Beautiful fresh Red Admiral

Another big group of walkers setting off
Looks busy on the beach
The beautiful Irene slowly crossing the bay - little wind for her today

So good to see her with sails up
Great day to be on the water
Probably the most Giant Thistle flowers we've ever had
Afternoon walkies along the fields above Trenow

Yachts at anchor off The Mount
Gry Maritha just setting off for Scilly
Nice Wild Carrot

Huge numbers of Teasels around - Goldfinches will be pleased
Nice Mackerel sky tonight

  1. Lovely day and lovely photos, Sue. "Irene" looks almost like a ghost ship.
The fields look a bit dry in some of your shots, but it is summer time of course.
Lots of visitors around during the holidays. Glad I was there in the Spring.
    Hope you are both well.
    Take care, Betty

PS Just begun blog posts on Cornwall.

  2. Very busy time here - went into Pz this morning as it's the best day due to changeovers - traffic is terrible the rest of the week. We have escaped the worst of the torrential rains so the ground is fairly dry. Sue
