Moving over the bay
Off goes Scillonian III again
Since neither of us is feeling up to a long walk we drove to Prussia Cove and managed to squeeze the car into a space and set off towards the cove
Sadly the sun was in and out of the clouds all the time which really spoiled the colours

Before anyone else says it - Cliff House that featured in the film  Ladies in Lavender

Walking along the footpath towards Cudden Point
The Eastern end of Praa Sands
Marker commemorating the spot where HMS Warspite hit the rocks on her way to the breakers yard - she never made it and was broken up on the beach at Long Rock (I think)
Tater Dhu Lighthouse catching the light
Piskes Cove
A favourite spot when Nick was a youngster
The view from the top of the steep hill looking to the far Eastern side of Mount's Bay
Some of the Heather is looking good
Looking along Cudden Point
Been a couple of years since we walked this way - never seen this before !
Autumn Squills flowering on this exposed spot
Looking back to Perranuthnoe
Super colours in the water when the sun shone
Nice view of The Mount
Several lovely fresh Painted Ladies out there
Looking over the bay to Mousehole
Lots of flowers everywhere
Perranuthnoe beach

Tater Dhu in the ever changing light
Lots of Sloes on the footpath heading back inland towards the campsite at Prussia Cove

Nice and plump looking

  1. Another catch up session for me on past posts. The weather seems very changeable and I noticed lots of events were cancelled with the big storm. I definitely could not go on the Scillonian, especially in that weather, so will have to wait for the heliport to be up and running. At least now there seems to be some sun and the wild flowers look lovely. I would like to be there at sloe season as I've also fancied making sloe gin. I do usually find some late blackberries though, and enough for a blackberry and apple crumble.
I've had neighbours emailing and telling me my garden is very weedy so the search is on for a new gardener who will look in once a month and keep the old place ticking over. We always do a blitz when we are there but rain and sunny weather in the summer always means fast growing weeds in the gravel drive and back paths. However, I think I have found someone, so fingers crossed.
    Take care!
