Wednesday

Taken through the window as I opened the curtains - rain !
The first patch of rain moved on
So Jim decided to go up the hill with the dogs
General Cargo Anmira arrived in the bay to anchor
The next lot of rain was already across the bay

Morning cuddles for Maisie
and today Grandad Alan was allowed a cuddle as well
Rain approaching fast
Scillonian III appearing out of the mizzle as she slowly returned to Penzance after suffering engine failure off Gwennap Head. Fortunately after an hour the engineers managed to get one engine working and they made their way back with Sennen Lifeboat in attendance
Local tug Danmark arrives from Newlyn to take over from the lifeboat
Sennen Lifeboat City of London III was stood down and returned to base
Fast !
It cleared up later on and we could see the Merlins fron RNAS Culdrose training with RFA Argus for their deployment on board the carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth
Afternoon walkies and Hannah came down the hill to join us for the walk - Maisie was a happy girl - not a single "squealie!
Had turned into a fine afternoon
No Scillonian sailing tomorrow to give them time to repair and check the engines

  1. Lovely to see Maisie's reaction to cuddles from sweet girl. I recognise that spot at the top of the hill:) Glad the rain cleared. Also, pleased that Scillonian111 returned safely to port.
Hope all well with you both.
