Saturday

Lovely blue sky morning but with an Easterly breeze

Last morning greeting for Chris and Colin as they've now left for home  - after having walked around 100 miles whilst they've been here
James Roberts on board Bonnie Grace quite close in this morning
We had decided to go to Kynance Cove for the day and were surprised at how busy it was - after all it was Saturday
Car park as we walked towards the cove - was almost full by the time we came back
First view of the turquoise waters
Was looking stunning as we walked along

The cafe below and the steps that we needed to climb to carry on with the walk as dogs are still banned until the end of the month.

Cafe opening hours - Jim had a crab bagette and I had coffee and cake and then we had to tackle the steps
The problem is that the sand level has dropped so low that there is a nasty clamber over slippery Serpentine rock to get to the steps
Part way up !
Sadly cloud had covered the blue sky and the sun - for a while

Devil's Bit Scabious - really short and different leaf to the Field Scabious
Lots of them up there
Super view from up there

Fast moving rather long Caterpillar
Lots of these - some taller than others- think it's Great Burnet
We walked out across the downs on the green path and re-joined the main route back to the car park
We drove and parked on the green in Lizard Village and strolled down the lane a little way - dogs liked these Alpaccas

Early Bella Donna Lillies
Looking down to Caerthillian Cove and the coastal footpath
Our elderly next door neighbour Monty who has decided not to move when we drive towards him - so I got out and picked him up to let Jim drive past - then put him back down again
Jim's photos of Kynance Cove

Hated the slippery Serpentine Rock but made it to the steps
Maisie looking a bit concerned - as you can see the steps are rather steep

Long was up to the top
Quite breezy up there
Car park at the top and the zig zag path down to the cove that we take - it's the long way round but easier than the huge number of steps
Paddle for Wooster, but Maisie didn't fancy it
A refreshing drink - Maisie found a couple of nice puddles that she preferred
The Alpaccas along the lane from Lizard village
Nice colour this evening
