Saturday

Very very windy night with massive gusts of up to 112mph - house shook on a couple of occasions - no sleep for me, but was pleased to see no damage to house or garden. Lots of fallen trees in the area as well as power cuts. Ours was on and off for around an hour, but then came back on - others were off for much longer.
Managed a couple of quick videos when the rain left off for a few minutes
Cudden Point
The main area of rain passed over and Jim took the dogs out for a walk - it was still gusting 65-70mph

  1. Hope the weather settles soon. How do the dogs sleep with it?
Also, hope you are going okay and steadily improving Sue.
All the best to you both.

  2. Woe, that was a storm! I saw James Kitto's photos of the waves at Porthleven on FB. My neighbour is going to go to the cottage tomorrow to check on it as I am unable to get there the rest of the year.
The weather is wild right now, and we keep getting Santa Ana winds which fuel the fires by funnelling down the dry canyons. San Diego seems to have escaped the fires, so far, but LA has been bad. My daughter came home from north of SF as there was no electricity for 4 days and then her valley ran out of petrol so she decided a trip to see her parents would make sense.
