Sunrise after another very wild night
88mph at 3.30am fortunately from the West so we don't hear much in the bedroom
Walkies during a clearer patch of weather
"These pesky youngsters"
Next shower cloud approaching
Morning Lucy
After the wind had dropped down for several hours, suddenly up it went again - 85mph at 8pm
and suddenly at around 8.25pm whoosh 99.795 - followed by one at 102mph - horrible taking the dogs to the garden in wind like this.
Such crazy weather there right now! I wonder if you will get te cold that has been in the north east right now. My daughter's family from Brooklyn is so looking forward to coming here on Friday, 20th, for a bit of a warm up. We did have some rain from Thanksgiving on which is great as I can switch the sprinklers off and lower the water bill, and we are 2" up right now for the rainy season. However, it looks to be warm and sunny so no doubt I will have to switch them on again in a few days.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed the back fence at the cottage hasnt blown down again as the last repair cost 150 pounds!
Have a peaceful and restful Christmas. Ours wont be with three grandchildren under five in the house.
They keep saying that the weather will get much colder - but so far not down here. Just constant wind and rain - do hope your fence will be OK
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will enjoy your Christmas with children and grandchildren - have a great time. Just a quiet Christmas for us - but more visitors before then - as long as the weather doesn't get really bad. Sue
