Wednesday evening and no named storm this time, but storm it was - torrential rain all evening and I spotted this line of extreme rain coming towards us. I stayed up with the dogs until it was past as I thought there might be more thunder - as it came past there was a massive gust of wind
It continued to rain all night and when I tried to take the dogs out first thing this morning they were rather reluctant - but out we went only for me to be almost knocked over by the 89mph gust of wind
The rain carried on to the East and left behind a wild and angry sea
Jim took the dogs up the hill for a quick walk - far too windy to go up to the top
Down they came
and round the field a few times
Big ground sea with waves out on the reef beyond Cudden Point
Sadly it clouded over this afternoon
Life's good when you have a big friend !
Pleased to say that Wooster has a new coat arriving tomorrow
The Echium Forest along the footpath is nice and sheltered from the worst of the winds
We're all waiting for Storm Dennis - might not be as bad as last night ! !
