Sunday - A walk to Prussia Cove and back - Jim's Photos

Walk up the hill on a calm and beautiful morning

Scillonian III passing RFA Tidespring which left the bay soon after
Usual dash about - but we then decided it was a good day to do the Prussia Cove Circular walk
Cassie arrived from behind us
Lovely shot of Bonnie for a change with Cassie visiting neighbours
Wooster is really good with the stiles and step-overs
He managed this horror in one leap, Jim and Maisie had no problems
But for me that first step is almost a metre up for my little legs - still managed it in the end with a hand from Jim to pull me up
Nice cool woodland walk down to Prussia Cove
Was really busy on the lane with people heading for the coves
The Enys
The little ford - where 40 odd years ago we saw Glow Worms in the hedge just alongside ! Dogs both refused to drink - what plonkers !
The entrance to Porth en Alls House where we had several memorable holidays when Nick was young
Looking towards Coules Cove and Keneggy Beach which had a proper walk down when we first came down with our tent then caravan. Sadly went in a storm and you now have to walk over the rocks and watch the tide for your return !
Boat and Bessie's Cove
Great to see boats in Boat Cove
Willie's Cottage with Jim's favourite Red Hot Pokers

Now walking West along the coast back towards Perranuthnoe
Huge amounts of this pretty Wild Thyme

Many happy memories of Piskies Cove
Lovely flat rocks to sit one
Bit of a steep climb to come
Super colours in the bright sunshine
Our favourite spot to sit for refreshments on a hot day - lovely views and a little cooling breeze
The Eastern end of Praa Sands in the distance
Cudden Point
From Cudden Point

Rather tricky part of the path as it replaced some that fell into the sea - it's rather slithery and steep, but both dogs were very good.
Jim missed Wooster's leap but again just one big jump ! Not that easy for me again but made it with another hand from Jim
You'd have thought he's be getting tired by now
But no ! off he went just for the fun of it

Busy beach but not too busy

Lovely shot of this young Kestrel on top of the Cedar Tree as we got home
