Lizard Lifeboat heading for Newlyn with a stricken catamaran alongside
The lifeboat launched on service shortly before 11.30am this morning to go to the immediate assistance of a 26ft catamaran which was taking in water. In a position of 2 miles SW of Lizard Point, upon arrival on scene the catamaran was listing 60 degrees to her port side and was in serious danger of sinking. Two lifeboat crew members were put aboard the stricken vessel which had one person on board. The lifeboat salvage pump was immediately set up to pump out the water coming in to the catamaran. Once stabilised a tow was attached and the vessel was safely towed in to Newlyn Harbour, arriving there at approximately 2.30pm. RNLB Rose had arrived back at her station by 3.30pm and was again made ready for service when required.

RNLI Lizard Lifeboat Rose heading back to base
It was lovely to see Alan & Janice and their lovely grandaughter Hannah who is Maisie's very favourite person - the dogs all had a play on the field while we chatted.
Jim took the dogs for a walk - but it was still hot and Wooster took a shortcut so Jim and Maisie followed
Busy out there today
HMS Scott
Sun dropping into dark cloud - but from photos I've seen I should have got up and had another look later - but too tired !
