Thursday - Return to Penrose to walk the seaward side

As forecast it was another lovely morning
Long shadows from the early morning sun

Wooster deciding that playtime was more important than training

Small bird in a tree !
Work on the water but playtime on the beach
We set off to return to Penrose - this time to park at the top of Porthleven and walk along the coastal paths - Jim's photos
Down the steep hill
Busier  close towards Porthleven
Up the next steep hill
Not often the waves are this small here
Looking over to Porth en Alls House and the houses in Prussia Cove - with just the top of The Castle on the Mount showing on top of the hill
The amazing chimneys and engine houses of the Trewavas Mine still clinging onto these steep cliffs
Loe Bar looking unusual with such a calm sea
Porthleven
One of many walls he jumped onto
Down the hill heading inland with Helston nestling in the hills
Suddenly there was a roar and the Hawks were up from RNAS Culdrose
And a Merlin Helicopter
Something different - a visitor - Royal Norwegian Airforce Dassault Falcon  on Practice Diversion at RNAS Culdrose
Down the woodland path again
Maisie still hunting for her Squirrel
We've usually seen a Grey Heron down in the lush grass - didn't see it at first - then up came its head
Whilst we were having our coffee four Hawks came zooming over - not a good place to get photographs as we couldn't see them coming
Walking back above  a very calm Carminowe Creek
Large long Caterpillar on the path
Cyclist came zooming around this corner - Wooster just got out of the way in time

Some of my photos from today

Loe Bar
The steep climb back up from the coast

Lovely green valley

Testing out the view from a super new seat
We then returned to the car - did some shopping in Lidl and came home
Nice sunset again

  2. We had been much the same - so many heavy showers and dark clouds - was good to have some sunshine so we decided we would try to make the most of it - but safely as we try to keep away from busy places. Looks like the weather isn't good for next week. Sue
