Wednesday

Really wild evening and night and the sea was looking very rough this morning

Was surprised to see that this had survived the wind and torrential rain
How do they know that we are going out ?
We drove to Penzance as I had an appointment at Reynolds and Slater Opticians that had been arranged for me by Treliske Hospital.
These little Turnstones came running towards us - just not enough people with sandwiches and Pasties
Jim had to come with me as I was going to have drops in my eyes and wouldn't be able to drive home. Jim went for a wander with my camera and saw SS774 Pelagic Marksman with lots of followers

As you can see there was quite a swell after last night's storm. This was Jim's first ever video

Pelagic Marksman almost disappearing in the swell
Clouds this afternoon as Jim took the dogs and I did the recycling and wheelie bin

While I was out on the balcony I spotted this Chris Sedgeman lorry collecting the scaffolding that they had left up at the Longcliffs plot. Might be quite a while until we see anything built there.
Through the window - sunset and rain at the same time

I went down to the lower patio to try to get a photo of the sun setting into the sea - sadly it wasn't to be as there was a line of cloud again Grrr!

Still it was rather lovely

Almost gone
Amazed to see that this Hydrangea is still there after the howling gale and all the rain
and a couple of Marigolds
