After just one day of glorious weather, we had another noisy windy night and the sea was looking very angry when I drew the curtains
Jim went up the hill and around the spoil heap
Really hard to walk in the gale force wind
Nice run on the field
Huge waves again today
I went down to Morrison's and stopped off at Marazion Junction to take some photos - problem was that it was so hard just to stand up in the wind - which had gusted at 65.8mph
One Kite surfer struggling in the huge waves
The wind was still as bad and there was a little mizzle this afternoon, so we just went down to the field
Waves still crashing up Cudden Point
Looking like it will still be windy tomorrow

Hello Sue and Jim,
ReplyDeleteHow different the Mount looks compared with the days I have visited in the past. I wouldn't like to be taking the boat trip over that sea! You have been battered so much during past weeks, yesterday the sunshine must have been very welcome. A sign of days to come, a little at a time!
Do hope you are all okay. What a time it has been! We had a brief lockdown of five days recently, but things are looking better now. The vaccinations began in Australia on Monday for essential care workers and now on to Nursing Homes. I guess my turn will come before too long.
We still have to wear masks and use sanitizer when out and about.
Ken is doing well and enjoying some independence now - takes himself to Chemist, appointments and has been shopping at the supermarket. I just make dinner for him and take in.
Must away and rake up leaves and fallen branches from the front lawn. It's green waste collection day tomorrow.
Thanks as always for my daily visit to Cornwall. I would never have dreamed that I would be able to see visions of the land of my ancestors every morning and so beautifully recorded by you both.
Take care,
Betty xx
Hello Betty, Certainly has been wild and windy - assume the Amphibious vehicle St Michael won't have been running in these conditions. We're forecast to calm down and see some sunshine in the next few days so it will be good to get out and do some jobs in the garden and field. Both Jim & I have had our first jabs and the lockdown together with the huge number of vaccinations that have been done seem to be having an amazing effect on the figures which are really dropping. Cornwall & Devon are back down again - sadly as we start to open up again in a month or two the visitors will arrive and we have to hope they don't bring it with them again. So pleased that Ken is doing so well must be a relief for you.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will be seeing some blue sky photos for a few days.
Take care
Sue & Jim
