Friday

Nice morning sky - which was a surprise as it was really misty when we went to bed

We  wondered what all this kit was for - turns out the lane on the Western side of Blue Burrow is being re-surfaced

Off they went
Long line of dark cloud again

Jim went down to the field to finish the mowing
Quite a surprise to see this amazing Research/survey vessel the Sir David Attenborough brand new and on Sea Trials
Jim and gardener Andrew had decided that today might be the last opportunity to get the now giant bonfire to burn well - before it gets rained on.  It went really well - It was too wet last year and just wouldn't burn so it was huge
Sadly the weathermen had got the wind direction wrong - we wanted the smoke to just go down over the fields
Setting off on our walk with dark clouds around
Met this little sweetie struggling up the hill to the "Poo bin" she's wearing a tee-shirt to stop her itching/scratching
Fine and warm late afternoon

Sir David Attenborough still at anchor in the bay, but she left at around 6pm

Gathering up

Hard to believe it's October

Scillonian III looking red in the sunset
