Saturday

Fine but cold and windy morning
Elka Apollon still sitting out there in the whitecaps

When they got to the field Pete and Samsa were there so they met off the lead for the first time

All good fun
Lots of Blackthorn in flower around the field
Think this must be Elder in leaf already
Afternoon walkies and it was really cold and dull
We should have noticed that Maisie's attention was elsewhere - and off she went into a garden where their dog comes out onto the field - she then managed to get past Jim and just kept running
She did a tour of the village crossing several roads - Jim ran ahead - I can't run but could roughly see where she was, but Jim's phone battery died. This is her track - not sure it's that accurate and thank goodness the roads were really quiet. Jim went home leaving the gate and door open and I walked past the house on the footpath and there she was coming down towards me - I gently took her collar and led her into the house. She doesn't look like she's injured herself thank goodness, but she'll be on her lead for the foreseeable future
