Sunday

Another blue haze morning

Out again
Some lovely colours this morning

Usual view of Maisie
Gone fishing - not sure of the name
Busy down at the car park today

We both went down and mowed the field - we can get it done quickly between us and we like to do it before it gets too long - and the weather is going to get rather chilly. Unfortunately after the many hours that Maisie has been in the field whilst Jim was mowing she decided that she has got a taste of freedom and managed to get out - either wriggled under the gate, or through the side gate to the bonfire area. We're not sure how long she'd been out, but off we went Jim up and me along and down to her favourite Cauliflower field - and there she was after a certain amount of loud shouting commanding her to come here - she did - Phew ! So more work needed.
Afternoon walkies
Still very hazy
You can see the East wind is pushing the waves into the far corner of the beach
Under supervision only until we've done a good patrol all around the edges

The setting sun behind the Church Tower

Right in the middle
Then noticed that it appeared on the other side

  1. Oh dear, that must have been a worry with Miss Maisie taking off! She wants to be like her big brother, I guess!
Hope you are both okay and that the weather begins to warm up soon. I loved being there in the Springtime. Remember the bluebells at Godolphin House?
The world has changed somewhat since then. I sometimes wonder where we are headed, We are still being careful with Covid. Only go out for medical appointments and a haircut when I can't put up with it growing any longer. Ken is still in remission, but has other health issues, so not too good.
Thank you for keeping me up-to-date with your beautiful part of the world and how you are both travelling.
Each day you revive wonderful memories of my visits and of the land of my ancestors, of which I am finding more and more since joining "My Heritage" and having a DNA test. Very many of them came from the St.Just area.
    Take care,
    Betty xx

    1. Yes Naughty Maisie - we do panic a bit, but this time she hadn't gone far. She's almost too confident now, so am going to give training another go. Sorry to hear that Ken has more health issues life isn't easy as we get older. We are still not going far and Cornwall is near the top of the table of Covid cases in England. I suspect that many are from school children that then spreads to the parents. Pleased you are OK but like us life seems to have lost some of the lovely spontaneous way we would just go out somewhere - and of course the visitors will soon be here in numbers. We'll do our best to take some more interesting photos. Sue & Jim - Wooster and Maisie xx
