PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Saturday

Another rather cool but beautiful morning and the waves were still rolling in




If you're getting Allergies at the moment tree pollen is one of the main culprits for us anyway - this is a closeup of the Cedar Tree - every little yellow blob is pollen. 


Mount's Bay Pilot Gig Club in one of their competition gigs today - Jeannie (white ones are plastic training gigs this is wooden)
We decided to make the most of the sunshine and drove to Godolphin Woods
Wooster was a happy boy
This tree looks like it's had a hard life
Very muddy in places
Wooster was loving it
The stream that runs into the River Hayle
We walked through the woods and onwards to Godolphin House
Looking into the courtyard
Just loves this old door
Into the garden which was full of Snakeshead Fritillary flowers

Lovely peaceful scene - families with the children doing a trail of somekind
A few Bluebells have appeared but soon the woods will be carpeted with blue

Waiting for a stick  - the River Hayle behind
Back home and Mermaid II came towards Men du Point
Afternoon walkies up towards Ednovean with a huge cloud looming
Look closely ! Every horse ought to have a little friend !
Maisie being a good girl whilst we chatted
The cloud never reached the sun as we walked back down the hill to home

    What a beautiful sunny day to visit Godolphin Woods and the grounds of the ancient Godolphin House. Brought back wonderful memories. Love all of your photos especially that old door. The flowers and old trees are beautiful. So glad I visited with you when I did. Still not a good time to travel at my age, with the virus still around. Don't think I will be venturing out of the country again.
    Hope it warms up soon and you can take your annual visit to photograph the beautiful bluebells.

    Hi Betty, I was thinking of you when we went through that big door into the Courtyard - we were allowed into the garden to have coffee whilst you did your tour. We enjoyed our few hours away from Perranuthnoe, but since the Covid figures are still fairly high we try to keep safe. Really cold wind today - do hope it warms up again soon. Sue
