Nice morning on what was promised to be the best day of the week
Scillonian III backing out
Still a bit splashy out there
We've seen quite a few of these Orange Tip butterflies but this is the first photo - well done Jim
Not even seen many Common White ones
Scillonian III passing Rowse Crabber TO50 Harriet Eve
Blue boat day today
Out in the swell
I thought Jim ought to have a drive in Goldie the Yaris so we went off to Godolphin House - pleased to say the dogs jumped in first time - The Wisteria was looking magnificent
Magnificent Copper Beech and in the foreground the Medlar Trees
The Medlar Trees were in flower - they have strange fruits which are left to rot before turning them into Medlar Jelly (as seen in an episode of Midsomer Murders)
The garden had some lovely Iris
and lots of Aquilegias that had seeded everywhere
Loved these
Just the one Peony
Cherry tree - I think
King Air Avenger came over low and slow
Sadly most of the Bluebells were past their best
The Bracken has grown so fast
The Carts in the Stables
We then gave Wooster a run on the big meadow and went down to the cafe to coffee etc
When we got home I spotted this Bee that was totally engrossed in this Cape Fig
Sadly the stormy weather has meant we have a large amount of seaweed on the beach - hope it washes out again
Working on the fields again
This was a really tiny bunny who didn't notice us pass by
Huge piece of kit heading for the next field
Lovely Pansies
Beginning to cloud over a bit
Preparing the overflow parking field with a fancy Flail mower
A run around the field
Hopefully the last of the "extra measures" needed to stop madam from going exploring again
Nice mackerel sky
