Quite a stormy night had left the sea looking lively
Irish Research/Survey vessel Celtic Explorer came in from Galway to anchor in Gwavas Lake
You can't tell from the photos, but it was very windy
By afternoon there were lots more shower clouds
Celtic Explorer about to leave the bay
Already spotting with rain
Distant shot of Inter-Island goods vessel Lyonesse Lady passing Mousehole on her way from Scilly to Newlyn
I'd taken advantage of the sunshine and lack of showers until the later afternoon, to cut the sides of the narrow drive - wish I could do the top as well ! My new lightweight battery strimmer with a metal blade did a great job - just need to change to a different head and I'll do the bottom - sadly the right hand side is the new-build which hasn't been touched for years now - so sad as it was always a picture
I then managed to mow the lawn - but with rain approaching I was almost running along. Sadly with 2 dogs we can never have a perfect lawn, but at least I mowed the Daisies
These were looking wonderful before the heavy rain arrived
Another shower moving away
I was admiring your garden in some of your recent photos. It is looking lovely. You and Jim keep it looking very neat and pretty. Big job trimming the side of the driveway. I couldn't do that these days, or mow the lawn! Hope you are both well and enjoying summer.

He He ! Betty, I'm very good at taking photos of the best bits of the garden and trying not to show all the weeds etc. Still it's good to see the Summer flowers as they are so bright and colourful. The mower we use is a battery one and very light and easy to use. Hopefully the weather will be good for the weekend as it's Sea, Salts and Sail weekend in Mousehole that we usually love. Bye for now. Sue & Jim
