Setting off on another wonderful day
In the foreground the trawler Guardian towing an upside down Trimaran which capsized yesterday - the poor sailor was winched off the upturned hull by a Merlin helicopter from RNAS Culdrose and happened to be on an exercise in the area. The poor guy had sailed across the Atlantic only to turn over around 4 miles from Porthcurno. Guardian was in the area and went to help and took the Trimaran under tow and brought it into Mount's Bay - sadly with the mast hanging underneath it couldn't just be towed into Newlyn. The tug Obervargh had been summoned from Falmouth
A hot looking Tegen on an early morning walkies
Wooster not bothered by the heat
Rather lovely Musk Mallow on the field
Strange lines out on the sea
Newlyn tug Danmark came out to join Guardian
Maisie watching me in the garden
Multratug 3 towing floating crane Rambiz to Avonmouth
Reckon Summer is really here
Since the heat haze was affecting our view of the goings on I walked down Boat Cove Lane to try to get a better view of them righting the boat - sadly they had moved back up the bay
My nightmare as I walked through the village
The Ferries from The Mount off to Porthleven (I think) seem to remember it's done in memory of a past boatman
Tug Obervargh out in the bay with the upturned trimaran - have just noticed that it has now gone into Newlyn
Lots of Gatekeeper butterflies around now
Busy out on Men du Point
Bonnie Grace came in close this evening
James got into his boat and rowed off
Heading back to Newlyn
