Cruise ship Celebrity Silhouette on her way to Greenock
Not a bad morning and so far no showers around
Scillonian III setting off on her first Sunday trip of the season
All the rest of the photos are from Sea Salts & Sail Festival in Mousehole - so sorry if you don't like traditional boats. Jim's photos first followed by mine
We walked up Raginnis Hill and along the coastal footpath until we reached this point - it then plunges down to almost sea level and since we would just need to go back to Mousehole - we don't usually go any further
Mousehole from Raginnis Hill
It was getting much busier
The star of the show Anny of Charlestown - sadly she sailed a long way away
Mascotte was sailing really well - have seen since coming home she got a bit close to a reef off St Clement's Isle and grounded - other boats came to help and she came off - hopefully with no damage
Dedication !
Nice clear day looking across the bay to home
Gleaner with her bunting blowing in the strong wind
Unusual Italian Ro Ro/Cargo vessel Maria Grazia Onorato - heading to Dublin from Rotterdam
St Ives Lugger Barnabas
Norwegian Girl was really going well
Large crowd at the other side of the harbour as there was music (and drink)
Stunning vessel
Sue's photos - we managed to get onto the car park and I was able to pay via the Just Pay app. and there was Anny of Charlestown right in front of us.
Quite a few were already out sailing
Sadly quite a number never left the harbour today
Guide Me on the left has been sailed all over the world by the family - she has no engine - next to her is Happy Return
The turn around point of our walk along the path that leads to Lamorna
Rowse Crabber TO60 Emma Louise returning to Newlyn
St Ives Lugger Barnabas
The welcome seat for a little rest
Gleaner
By the time we got back down to the harbour the tide was right out
The infamous Raginnis Hill with the Mousehole Bird Hospital - (bright blue) half way up
We treated ourselves to a proper lunch in the Wholefood Deli - my drink was a non alcoholic Aperol Spritz - I think - Jim's was a cider
Yep ! he had half a Lobster
Sorry I had de-constructed my steak ciabatta roll - but we both enjoyed our meals. We bought the dogs a doggy Ice Cream each but I think they would have preferred an human style Ice cream cone
Looks like a serious sail boat - can't find the name
Mermaid II came past several times
The sun shining on the house on Rinsey Head
Praa Sands in the background
Think this is Lowenna - a modern boat - sailing really well
Shearwater II passing St Clement's Isle
and stopping to check out this hauled out Seal
Wooster got bored and went to find a friend - she loved him !
